Incomparable driving precision, fast speed control, easy set-up and maximum flexibility – Mitsubishi Electric has developed a new generation of drive technology: the extraordinary FR-A800.
Some of the outstanding features are the integrated USB interface for programming and copying of parameters, easy to read control panel, the optimal current account as well as energy-saving features that increase system security and three expansion slots for a wide range of options and network cards.
Powerful features and smart features
The FR-A800 series has a two-channel emergency stop for a secure hold. This allows a safe operation in accordance with the European Machinery Directive without using an additional contactor. Thus, the FR-A800 meets the standards ISO13849-1, PLD and IEC60204-1 Cat. 3, EN 61508 and EN 61800-5-2 SIL2.
With the integrated “Digital Dial” of the operating unit, the user has direct access to all important parameters. Also the graphic panels (GOT) from Mitsubishi Electric can be connected to the frequency inverters FR-A800 series. The communication parameters for the HMI connection are automatically set as a batch file.
With the standard built-in EMC filter the drive meets the requirements of the EMC Directive (EN 61800-3, 2nd environment, category C3), so no special certification is required.
Select the power saving function that suits your application. The impressive energy savings can be displayed on the menu for energy monitoring.
The cooling fans and the built-in capacity have a lifespan of about 10 years. By using the control function for the fans whose life can be further increased.
Connection to different networks
The inverters of the FR-A800 series can be monitored and controlled via numerous networks. For the most important networks such as CC-Link IE Field, CC-Link, Profibus DP / DPV1, Profinet / Ethernet IP / EtherCAT (coming soon) and SSCNETIII / H, DeviceNet ™ and LONWORKS are option units available. By default, the RS485 communication is supported (Mitsubishi Electric inverters protocol, Modbus RTU protocol).
Note: The FR-A800 series is fully backward compatible with the FR-A700 series. By using the setup software FR Configurator2 parameters can be copied easily. To adapt to longer response times of older machines, the input / output signals of the FR-A800 can be delayed.
