After 11 million drives sold Mitsubishi Electric is presenting the latest generation of compact inverters with the FR-E700 series. With its new features, it surpasses its predecessor not only in terms of performance and ease of use, but is also more compact and even easier to install.

Improved functions and device properties such as an integrated USB port, an integrated “digital dial” with display, improved performance yield in the low-speed range as well as the possibility of using one of many option cards of the 700 Series, makes the FR-E700 an economical and universal genius for many applications, such as Textile machinery, door and gate drives and material handling systems.

Investing in the future

Long service life – Mitsubishi Electric frequency inverters are known for their long life. The FR-E700 is designed for more than 10 years service life. This is achieved, among others, by temperature-resistant high-performance capacitors, cooling fans with sealed bearings and special grease. In cooling only the heatsink and not electronic components are ventilated. This ensures that no dust or dirt can settle on the components.

The single or double painted circuit boards are protected against aggressive environments and thus have a higher life expectancy.

Fast servicing – The fans are designed as compact units and change in cleaning and an error occurs in less than 10 seconds. The drive can also be replaced completely without wiring effort in case of failure, because the terminal block is removable.

Flexible concept

Compact installation – The installation footprint is changed to its predecessor, but the FR-E700 can now be mounted side by side. Heat dissipation has been optimized by the heat sink can be installed outside the control cabinet.

High adaptability – The FR-E700 can connect to Modbus RTU as well as network connections such as Profibus / DP, CC-Link, DeviceNet and LonWorks are possible.
