from the models database.

been lost
- Support for Mentor MP firmware v01.06.06 was missing from
versions after V01.16.03.
Changes for Versions 1.16.01
- Bug fix: Affinity drives loaded from older project files do
not appear in the Drive Properties dialog.
- Older project files may contain drives with out of date
current ratings. This was causing an empty box to be displayed
for the drive model.
- Bug fix: Unidrive Classic SOM parameters missing from the
compare to defaults list.
- Unidrive Classic Encoder Small Option Modules were not being
included in the in the compare to defaults listing.
- Bug fix: Incorrect default values for Digitax drives.
- Digitax parameters pr10.30 and pr10.31 were being given
incorrect default values. This could result in damage to the
braking resistor if downloaded to the drive.
- Winflasher updated.
- The version of Winflasher included with the installer has been
updated to V3.10.
- New block diagram for SM-IO 24V analog output .
- The SM-IO 24V option module has a new block diagram for the
analog output.
Changes for Versions 1.16.00
- Addition of new Digitax ST-EtherCAT drive.
- Support for Digitax ST-EtherCAT drives is now included.
- Mentor MP firmware V1.6.6 Support.
- Added support for V1.6.6 firmware, and also corrected FXMP25
parameter 78.
- Indexer with zero turn-bit encoders
- Improved support in the Digitax ST indexer program for comms
encoders where turn-bits = 0 or auto-configuration is used.
Previously an error 50 could occur on program start-up. Now if
you set turn-bits to 0 or use auto-config you will be asked to
supply the motion controller turn-bits value. So position bits
per revolution = 32 – motion_controller_turn_bits.
- Indexer diagram: "Target is different message" when going
online
- There will be less incidence of the "Indexer diagram in the
target is different from that in the PC" message appearing when
going online to an indexer capable drive. That should only now
appear if the program or indexer configuration used for program
generation really is different from that on the drive with one
exception: A difference can still be reported if the currently
selected item in the sequence diagram has changed since the last
time the diagram was saved and downloaded and source code is
being downloaded. To avoid this happening do either of the
following:
- Turn off source code download by clearing the Indexer
Settings → More Settings → "Download Source To Drive"
checkbox.
- Clear any selection (click on the diagram background)
prior to going online, validating the diagram or closing the
diagram view.
- Windows 10
- Fixed a compatibility issue when running under Windows 10.
- Mentor MP Migration of parameter 5.15
- Corrected an error in the calculation shown for parameter 5.15
(the calculated value was correct just the forumla shown was
wrong).
Changes for Versions 1.15.5

Product Documentation
Documentation for the various drives supported by CTSoft is
available to download from the website
http://www.controltechniques.com as individual PDF documents or as
part of a 'Document Server' package. The Document Server packages
integrate with CTSoft and provide access to detailed parameter
help directly from within CTSoft, so it is recommended to install
these.
To obtain the Document Server package for your drive(s) follow
the link below and choose the Downloads option from the top
toolbar followed by 'User Guides and Software'. From here choose
your drive and this will take you to a page showing links to all
the available downloads. The Document Server package is located in
the Software section.

Unidrive SP, Unidrive ES, Commander GP20 and
Commander SK Setup Wizards
The setup wizard provides the ability to do basic configuration
of Unidrive SP, Unidrive ES, Commander GP20 and Commander SK
drives. It is designed to be an on-line only tool so when started
it will try to detect the drive. If no drive is connected you can
still run through the wizard but be aware that the changes you
make will be saved to a file and must be downloaded later.
Digitax ST and Mentor MP Quick Setup Wizard
The Quick Setup wizard provides the ability to do basic
configuration for the Digitax ST Base, Indexer, Plus and Mentor MP
drives. The quick setup then guides the user through selecting a
motor, encoder setup, references using a referencing wizard and
auto-tuning your system with the auto-tune wizard. If no drive is
connected you can still run through the wizard but be aware that
the changes you make will be saved to a file and must be
downloaded later.
Known Issues
- Changes to drive configuration made independently while
CTSoft is online are not detected
When online to a drive with CTSoft it is recommended that you
don't change the drive configuration (e.g. drive mode) via the
keypad of the drive, from a PLC or another device. CTSoft only
checks drive configuration when going online, so if
configuration changes are done by methods other than using
CTSoft, CTSoft should be taken offline and back online so that
it resynchronises with the drive.
- Parameter 0.30 scaling
When read by CTSoft, this parameter is not scaled by 11.21,
unlike the parameter on the drive keypad.
- Menu zero listings
Various parameters in menu zero within the drive are
user-definable via menu 11 and menu 22. However, CTSoft only
updates its menu zero mappings when menu 11 and 22 are read, so
if the mappings have been altered from the default setting a
full upload should be performed.
- Regen mode is only supported in the Unidrive SP
- Security Mode (#0.49/11.44) on Unidrive SP, GP20, ES and
Digitax ST
CTSoft's default for this parameter is 0 (Level 1) so if a
default is done within CTSoft and then the parameters are
downloaded, the parameter will be set to "Level 1". This is
slightly different behaviour compared to the drive itself, which
upon setting defaults leaves this parameter as it was.
- Unidrive Classic UD70 Parameter Help
Calling up parameter help for menus 70+ on a UD70 option will
launch the PDF file for the UD70 but will not jump to to the
actual parameter. Scroll to the end of the document to view the
parameter lists.
- USB-RS485 Cable Reliability
CTSoft may be unreliable when communicating with drives at
115kbps particularly when using older CT USB cables. Make sure
you have the USB latency setting set to as low a value as
possible as the out-of-box setting is usually too high.
